  10.        This chapter lists supplemental information to the _I_R_I_S
  11.        _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e.  The information listed here is
  12.        product- and release-specific; use it with the Installation
  13.        Guide to install this product.

  15.        2.1  _W_e_b_s_e_t_u_p__S_u_b_s_y_s_t_e_m_s

  17.        Websetup includes these subsystems:

  19.        _w_e_b_s_e_t_u_p._m_a_n._m_a_n              This contains a set of manual
  20.                                      pages for the websetup product
  21.                                      binaries.  You should install
  22.                                      this if you plan to write web
  23.                                      applications using the
  24.                                      sebsetup user interface.

  26.        _w_e_b_s_e_t_u_p._m_a_n._r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s         This document; the online

  43.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of
  44.        websetup.

  46.        If you are installing this product for the first time, the
  47.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  48.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  49.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  50.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  51.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  52.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  54.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to
  55.               the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for information

  83.        2.3  _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n__M_e_t_h_o_d

  85.        All of the subsystems for websetup can be installed using
  86.        IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the
  87.        _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete installation
  88.        instructions.

  90.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  92.           +o The websetup product depends upon the freeware Perl
  93.             version five product fw_LWperl5.sw.perl (bundled as
  94.             part of the OS starting with 6.4.)
  95.  
  96.           +o The websetup product requires you to have one of the
  97.             following Internet servers installed on your system;
  98.             Netscape Fasttrack, Netscape Enterprise or SGI Web
  99.             Server based on Apache.

  101.        2.5  _C_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n__a_n_d__S_e_t_u_p
  102.  
  103.        There are two configuration options for websetup; webface
  104.        and webface_apache.  Only one option can be active at any
  105.        one time.
  106.  
  107.        2.5.1  _c_h_k_c_o_n_f_i_g__w_e_b_f_a_c_e__o_n  This option is used in
  108.        conjunction with the Netscape Fasttrack or Enterprise
  109.        servers.  You should only chkconfig this option on if you
  110.        have one of those servers installed.  Upgrading from an
  111.        older version of websetup shouldn't change your existing
  112.        configuration.  You can start the server once you've enabled
  113.        this option by executing "/etc/init.d/webface start".

  115.        2.5.2  _c_h_k_c_o_n_f_i_g__w_e_b_f_a_c_e___a_p_a_c_h_e__o_n  This option is used in
  116.        conjunction with the SGI Web Server based on Apache (which
  117.        is bundled with the OS starting with 6.5.12).  This is the
  118.        new default websetup server configuration for all new
  119.        systems.  You can start the server once you've enabled this
  120.        option by executing "/etc/init.d/webface_apache start".
